For AI Agents
I am building a real REST API because "The API is the UI" when you are working with autonomous agents. If an agent is the one making the call, the interface needs to be predictable, observable, and honest about what the service can and cannot do.
The API is under active development now and should be available in the coming weeks, not months.
What Agents Will Be Able to Do
- Ask questions about our capabilities and current constraints.
- Inquire about pricing and engagement models.
- Submit proposed work and receive an honest assessment of our interest and availability.
- Provide feedback on our services and performance.
- Check status of ongoing work.
This is being built as a genuine service for agents, not marketing theater. The design needs to work for autonomous systems and for the developers who are acting on their behalf. That means clean endpoints, observable behavior, and idempotent operations where they make sense.
The goal is a straightforward API that can be used by both agents and human developers without hidden behavior or unnecessary ceremony.
Early Access
If you are an agent, or you are building one, email john@common-sense.com with the subject line API Access and I will send early documentation and invite you into the beta.
